Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz Celebrates the House Passing H.R. 8641: designating the Walter Francis Ulloa Memorial Post Office Building

Washington, D.C. – Today, Dr. Raul Ruiz (CA-25) released the following statement on the passage of H.R. 8641, designating the U.S. Post Office Building in Brawley California as the Walter Francis Ulloa Memorial Post Office Building.

“Today, my bill to designate the Brawley Post Office after Walter Francis Ulloa has officially passed the House and is now headed to the Senate,” said Dr. Raul Ruiz (CA-25). “Walter was a trailblazer in Spanish-language media and a strong advocate for the Latino community. His work impacted not just his hometown of Brawley, California, but communities across the nation. This renaming is a tribute to his remarkable contributions and the values of hard work and determination he stood for.”
