Dr. Ruiz Slams Latest CBO Score

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36), an emergency medicine physician and member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, slammed the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score of the most recent version of Trumpcare, also known as the Graham-Cassidy health care bill.

"This CBO score confirms that the Graham-Cassidy bill is the worst version of Trumpcare yet. According to this independent analysis, millions will lose coverage, hardworking families will pay more for less care, and patients with pre-existing conditions will see costs skyrocket," said Dr. Ruiz. "What's more, as Republicans continue to make last minute changes to the bill in a rush to pass something before the September 30th deadline, the full extent of the harm of this bill will not be known before the Senate votes. We can and must do better."
