Dr. Ruiz Statement in Observance of National POW/MIA Recognition Day

Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) released the following statement in observance of National POW/MIA Recognition Day:

“We as Americans keep a solemn promise with all those who serve; our heroes in uniform will never be left behind or forgotten.

“Today, we honor the men and women who never returned home, and those who face unthinkable suffering as prisoners of war.

“Nothing can ever repay our debt to those who serve, and we will not rest until we have accounted for every missing man and woman who has defended this great nation.

“Let us always keep our covenant with those who wear the uniforms of the United States Armed Forces, deployed around the world, who place themselves in harm’s way to protect our freedom.”
