Dr. Ruiz Statement on Tesla Motors Gigafactory Site Selection

Today, Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) released the following statement in response to reports that Tesla has selected the state of Nevada for its initial Gigafactory:

"I am extremely disappointed in the failure of the State Legislature to reach an agreement on an incentives package for Tesla Motors. I am frustrated that Sacramento has let politics stand in the way of thousands of new jobs for our community, and the California legislature must work to improve California's business environment by eliminating burdensome and duplicative regulations and bureaucracy that stifle business growth. I will continue to fight for future considerations to bring Tesla and new jobs to the Coachella Valley."
