Dr. Ruiz Statement on Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Supreme Court Decision

WASHINGTON D.C. - Today, Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court handed down their decision on Obergefell v. Hodges concerning the right of same sex couples to marry.

"Today we made a great leap towards a more equal and just America by expanding the rights of LGBT Americans across our nation. The Supreme Court came down on the right side of history. This monumental decision unequivocally states that in America, people have a constitutional right to marry who they love. I will continue to be an advocate and voice for equality and will not rest until we achieve equal rights for all Americans."
