Rep. Ruiz's Office Corrects $3,500 Social Security Error

Phyllis Emmel was having trouble obtaining a refund from the Social Security Administration after submitting an overpayment. She reached out to my office for help, and after a few months, our office helped her obtain a refund of $3,568.

"After almost a year of trying to resolve mistakes made by the Northeastern SSA office, we sought the help of our Congressman," Phyllis said.
