Community Projects FY2027

This year, Congressman Ruiz will select 20 projects for potential funding consideration. Please note that projects under the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education subcommittee have been reopened on a limited basis.

All FY27 Appropriations Programmatic and Language Request forms, as well as Community Project Funding applications, are due:
Monday, March 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT

No late applications will be accepted.

Community Projects 101 Webinar

To help local stakeholders better prepare for upcoming submissions, Congressman Ruiz’s office is hosting a virtual informational webinar that will provide an overview of how the process works and what organizations should know before submitting a request.

During this session, we will provide an overview of Community Project Funding and Programmatic and Language Requests, explain how projects are evaluated and move through the congressional appropriations process, review common eligibility considerations and required documentation, and share best practices for preparing a competitive proposal that demonstrates clear community benefit and strong local support.
