Most recently, Jimenez served as district director for the 56th Assembly District under the leadership of Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation authored by Reps. Susie Lee (D-NV), Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-CA), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), and Richard Hudson (R-NC) to increase access to mobile health units and community health centers in rural and underserved communities. Dr. Ruiz joined Rep. Lee in introducing the MOBILE Health Care Act, which would expand opportunities for Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to use grants under the New Access Point (NAP) program to acquire mobile units.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Ways and Means Committee advanced bipartisan legislation authored by U.S. Representatives Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36), Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08), Don Beyer (VA-08), and Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) that would expand access to critical mental health programs for many providers carrying an increased burden and workload during the COVID-19 pandemic. H.R. 8890, the Physician Wellness Program Act, would remove barriers that oftentimes prevent physicians from accessing wellness programs.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) took to the House floor to honor first responders who have battled the Fairview Fire. The fire, which first started on Sept. 5, has burned over 28,300 acres and destroyed 36 structures. It is now 98 percent contained thanks to the heroism of local first responders and firefighters.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Senate passed the Sergeant First Class Heath Robison Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022, sending it to President Biden's desk for signature. At the heart of the legislative package are provisions authored by Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) to establish a presumption of service connection for 23 conditions, including respiratory conditions and cancers for approximately 3.5 million veterans who were exposed to burn pits and other airborne hazards.
