Palm Desert, CA – The Wounded Warrior Project has presented Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) with the organization’s inaugural Legislator of the Year Award for his leadership in helping pass the Honoring our PACT Act, a historic law to help veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxins receive the health care they need.  

Palm Desert, CA – Today, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) welcomed Stella Jimenez to serve as district director in his Palm Desert Office for California's 36^th Congressional District. Most recently, Jimenez served as district director for the 56^th Assembly District under the leadership of Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation authored by Reps. Susie Lee (D-NV), Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-CA), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), and Richard Hudson (R-NC) to increase access to mobile health units and community health centers in rural and underserved communities. Dr. Ruiz joined Rep. Lee in introducing the MOBILE Health Care Act, which would expand opportunities for Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to use grants under the New Access Point (NAP) program to acquire mobile units.
