Act Now to Prevent the Spread of CoronavirusHead to the CDC's website for regular updates on the coronavirus.

Here are some tips:

  • Avoid being close to people who are visibly sick, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth, and face.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces with Clorox or Lysol products.
  • If you feel sick, stay home and avoid physical contact with others.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue you can discard, then immediately wash your hands.
  • Masks are recommended only if you have symptoms or if you are caring for someone with symptoms.

How I'm Working to Protect Your Health and Safety

I know how important a robust response is to protecting the health and safety of our community. Right now, Congress is working on a fully-funded, whole-of-government response.

As co-chair of the Congressional Coronavirus Task Force, here are some of the ways I've been working hand-in-hand with federal, state, local, and Administration officials to protect our health:
