Dr. Ruiz Visits Blythe

October 25, 2022

What a great day in Blythe! I'm excited to share with you some updates on my work to help families in the Palo Verde Valley succeed with a clean energy economy, expanded access to health care, and even more good-paying, clean energy jobs.

Blythe is now home to the second-largest operational energy storage project in the world! The Crimson Solar Project will help provide affordable clean energy for families in our communities, building on the success of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act to lower energy costs, create more good-paying jobs locally, secure our energy independence, and bring our infrastructure into the 21st century.

Improving Health Care

Inncare

I also checked in on the new Innercare primary care health clinic. With the $1 million I helped secure for the renovation, we will expand much-needed access to health care for our communities, with 11 new exam rooms and dental and integrated behavioral health services.

Improving Local Transit

I also met with the Palo Verde Valley Transit Agency (PVVTA) to get an update on the Beautify Blythe project. I helped secure $3 million in federal funding to encourage outdoor engagement in the Blythe area; improve transit stops throughout the Palo Verde Valley; and increase access to local businesses, schools, and offices.

It's always a pleasure to be in Blythe and meet people who dream big and work hard every day for our communities. Know that in me, you have an ally and advocate.
