Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Ruiz Joins Presidential Delegation to the Republic of Honduras
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chair Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) joined a Presidential Delegation led by Vice President Kamala Harris to the Republic of Honduras to attend the inauguration of Her Excellency Xiomara Castro.
"This Thursday's Presidential Delegation to the Republic of Honduras fortified our bilateral relationship and marked a new day for the Honduran people," said Chair Dr. Ruiz. "As Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, I am honored to have joined Vice President Harris on this important mission to strengthen our partnerships in the Western Hemisphere, combat corruption, and address the root causes of migration. Fighting corruption in Honduras and throughout the region remains a top priority for the CHC. We look forward to working with the Castro administration to improve the rule of law in Honduras, create economic opportunity, and strengthen diplomatic ties between our nations."

The CHC, founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Territories. The Caucus is 38 Members strong, including four members of the United States Senate.
