Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz Remembers the Sacrifice of Service Members on the 80th Anniversary of D-Day

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz (CA-25) released the following statement regarding the National Day of Remembrance of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
 
“Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944. This battle was a turning point in World War II, that showcased the bravery of Allied forces. As we commemorate D-Day, we reflect on the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom.

“D-Day exemplifies the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom. It is our duty to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.”
