Washington D.C. – Today, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-CA) released a statement as the Supreme Court hears arguments surrounding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The Trump Administration is challenging lower court rulings to block the termination of the program after the administration announced it would wind down the DACA program in 2017.

“I stand with Dreamers in anticipation of the Supreme Court decision and will continue to advocate for the Housed-passed American Dream and Promise Act, which I voted for and cosponsored,” said Dr. Raul Ruiz (CA-36). “Dreamers going to school, serving in our military and contributing to our economy have widespread bipartisan support and Senate Leader McConnell must stop playing politics with their lives and allow a vote immediately.”
