Congressman Ruiz to Wear San Jacinto Leadership Academy Jersey in Congressional Baseball Game for Charity
Washington D.C. – Today, Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz (CA-25) will suit up in a San Jacinto Leadership Academy jersey for the Congressional Baseball Game for charity. The game will be held at the Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals baseball team.
“One of my favorite childhood memories was playing Little League and high school baseball on fields across the Coachella Valley and Imperial Valley,” said Congressman Raul Ruiz. “I feel honored to represent San Jacinto Leadership Academy and students from the San Gorgonio Pass through the San Jacinto Valley.
I am proud to be wearing the jersey from San Jacinto Leadership Academy, a 6th-12th grade International Baccalaureate school in the San Jacinto Unified School District. The district is celebrating the completion of another great year of learning due to dedicated staff members and the support of families and the community.”
The Congressional Baseball Game began in 1909 and serves as a charity benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, the Washington Literacy Council, and the Nationals Dream Foundation.
