Dr. Ruiz, Lawmakers meet with Department of Energy Secretary Moniz, Discuss Wind Energy Tax Credit

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) and other lawmakers met with Department of Energy Secretary, Dr. Ernest Moniz to discuss renewable energy production. Dr. Ruiz spoke with Moniz specifically about the importance of the wind energy tax credit to local businesses and the ramifications of allowing it to expire.

"The Coachella Valley is at the forefront of clean, renewable energy production. It is critical we extend the wind energy tax credit to ensure the continued growth of this industry in my district and across the country for job creation, energy independence, and environmental health. I am pleased the Department of Energy understands the importance of this tax credit."
