Rep. Ruiz Statement on Senate Bipartisan Framework for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-Palm Desert) today released the following statement regarding the Senate’s Bipartisan Framework for Comprehensive Immigration Reform:

“I am encouraged by the principles in the Bipartisan Framework for Comprehensive Immigration Reform released in the Senate today and look forward to hearing the President’s proposal tomorrow. Now is the time to act on a comprehensive immigration reform plan that reflects our values as a nation. For far too long, Congress has failed to address our broken immigration system. I believe the Senate’s proposal today is a step in the right direction toward meaningful and long lasting immigration reform, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the House and Senate to reach a comprehensive immigration plan that benefits all Americans and helps strengthen our economy."
