Ruiz Statement on EPA Emergency Orders for Thermal Mobile Home Parks

Palm Desert, CA – Today, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) issued the following statement on emergency orders issued by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the owners of three Thermal mobile home parks with drinking water systems that present a danger to residents.

"I am deeply concerned and outraged that an EPA investigation has identified three local mobile home parks in addition to the Oasis Mobile Home Park with high levels of arsenic in their water," said Dr. Ruiz. "My constituents deserve the peace of mind that they can safely turn on their faucets without being exposed to toxins. I will fight every step of the way to ensure families have safe, clean drinking water, hold responsible parties accountable, and put an end to these environmental injustices."
